Now what and Elke where is she at now?

For those of you who care about what we do and are curious as to where are we now; we are still busy. We are still helping out in the community. Just last weekend we handed over 40 stuffed animals at Betty Dare (a senior home) and cookies and snacks at Casa Arena (the Alzheimer’s ward). We found out that Casa Arena charges everything including crackers.

As far as the people we have helped. Well let me start with Elke’s update for today. Elke was put in a home by her neighbor (who is NOT a nurse but acts like one because she is a nurse’s assistant) and a lady named Frances. Frances says she had been taking care of Elke for years.

What Frances really did was put her name in her account to be able to take money out whenever she wanted and Elke cannot take money out of the account unless she has Frances’ permission. France has NOT been taking care of her, she has been stealing money from her for over years and up until APS got involved and checked out Elke’s accounts no one knew of this Frances. Elke was living on her own; she “bathed” herself, took care of Queenie (her dog). Elke would only eat the meals on wheel food she would get during the weekdays and no one ever saw any other food that she ate. (Nah, I lied, Carel saw her eating a FROZEN dinner she had thawed out on her counter and she was trying to suck on it because it was still frozen. I do believe that at this time Tricia had been leaving a meal or two for her in her ice box.)

I met Frances and she told everyone (I was there to witness this) including Elke’s old landlords that she was not in Elke’s bank account. She told us that she herself, Frances, would NEVER live in the conditions Elke was living. How could she say those things? She knew Elke had money in her account and could afford to move to a nicer place with working plumming, yet she had been the one to move her into it. She did this in order to pocket even more money. She would have Elke take out $800 a month when all her bills did not total $300. As long as Elke lived in that place she could easily pocket $500. Isn't that just slick?

The landlord told me he had only met Frances a few times and that Frances had never paid anything of Elke’s but that Frances had helped find Elke that place. Tricia was more often at Elke’s than Frances. Now, Tricia apparently has only known Elke less than a year. We know she was also taking money out of Elke’s accounts to pay bills. How much, I don’t know. What I do know is that Frances had been stealing money from Elke for years and Tricia has only been in the picture for maybe less than a year.

As some of you may know, we have contacted Elke’s cousin. She sounds like she loves her very much but cannot take Elke near her home because she is always moving. She had been writing to Tricia constantly and now she seems to stay in contact with Frances. How do I know this?
Well, the cousin, now has Power of Attorney over Elke’s money because we have been pushing on this (what we would really want is for her family to take care of her, really TAKE CARE of HER, but they just cannot). We do not want anyone in Alamogordo with her money.

For whatever reason the cousin has left Frances name on Elke's accounts. Now is this a wise decision, I don’t know. Really, leaving a thief, a liar, and an ABUSER on her account.? Who can she really trust now? The cousin hears different accounts of everything. Even APS and the cops involved are trying to cover their butts because they should have done something about Elke a long time ago and they left her to continue living in her conditions for months if not years. Now the cousin wants Power of Attorney over her medical records too.

Elke DOES NOT WANT to be put in a nursing home. We are trying to make it so where no one but her family has Elke’s money (whatever they do with it is on their conscience, even if they believe Frances and leave her on the account). We want her to have her own place until she can no longer take care of herself. And we want her to stop worrying about where she’ll end up because she has been EXPLOITED enough.

The family knows that we have tried for them to take over Elke’s money and Elke’s care (without them just sending her into a home). One of our teammates has taken her into her home and has taken her to the doctors appointments and she is doing so MUCH better. Our teammate is NOT taking Elke’s or the cousin’s money. I have seen Elke improve so much with her medicine and proper nutrition.

The sad part is no one is going to be prosecuted because these people are probably professional con-artists and they have been doing these kinds of thingson who knows how many people. They know how to talk to people and how to work the system. I hope Karma bites them in the behind because what they have done is abusive, mean, and just plain evil.

So at least you know what has happened and where she is at and I will post of how she looks now cause she is doing way better now.

WINNING TEAM

We did not the Holloman's BIG GIVE $10,000 price. We did however get $1,000 from BAJA. YAY us! It was completely unexpected but we were excited to have won. Thank you BAJA.

It was amazing for us to come together without knowing each other from different backgrounds and being able to get along so well that we have made great friends in our quest to make our community a little bit better. We are retired military, active duty members from the 49th LRS, dependants from the 49 AMXS, 49 MMS, 49 LRS and everyone that helped us from the Alamogordo community.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!!!!

Please keep us in your favorites because HOLLOMAN"S BIG GIVE may be over but we are not yet done reaching the Alamogordo community.

NEW PROJECTS!!!!!

OK people we have two more projects we will be taking on.

The first is a caregiver who has lost her kids because of the house being a huge mess. The kids need to be together and we will try to help her out in order for her to get a good chance of keeping them together. All we can do is give her a chance and it may be her last chance at the kiddos.

The second is the Gardena Sober House. They have 9 gentlemen on rehab who are trying to get their lives back on track. They have decided it is time to start over and we want to help Frank who runs the rehab house, whose goal is to help people(just like God has helped him). The guys in the rehab house are there because they are willing to accept the help and we would like in as much as we are able to help him.

We will post pics of all our hard work so please keep up with what we are doing.

TOMORROW FRIDAY JULY 24th we will be at the mall handing out info.
Our project (originally our only project) is to make it known to military families at Holloman AFB and anyone in Alamogordo that people are needed as
Foster/Adoptive parents. If you have the room in your house and in your heart and are willing please look into Adopting/Fostering in NM.
